Ok-so today's post isn't about biking, directly...
I've been thinking about music for a biking soundtrack for quite awhile now, and have wanted to put together a playlist on the ipod. Another debate that has been raging along in my mind for years has been "what are the top ten albums of all time?". Maybe VH-1 has butchered this topic the way they have other top 100 lists. And I know nothing stirs debate like politics or favorite music, so let's stir the pot. Here's my list, and I'm sure it dates me a bit, but oh well. Enjoy, laugh, say oh yeah I forgot about that one, or just comment on what your's are.
I couldn't pick just ten so I also have some honorable mentions
1. Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine
2. The Cure- Disintegration
3. Beastie Boys- License to Ill
4. The Doors- The Doors
5. Pearl Jam- Ten
6. KMFDM- Nihil
7. U2 Achtung- Baby
8. Alanis- Jagged Little Pill
9. Depeche Mode- Music for the Masses
10. Aerosmith- Pump
Honorable Mention
Van Halen- 1984
Live- Throwing Copper
Led Zepplin- 4
INXS- Kick
Sarah McLachlan- Surfacing
They Might Be Giants- Flood
Tori Amos- Little Earthquakes
Let the debate begin!

Hey that's a pretty good list!
Since, you know, we're married and we have similar taste in music, those all sound good to me. Except KMFDM, you know my feelings about that.
I would like to add these:
(in no particular order)
- Depeche Mode - 101
- Metallica - Metallica (the Black Album)
- Green Day - Dookie
- Sarah McLachlan - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy (I think this one is better)
- The Beatles - White Album
- Matchbox Twenty - Mad Season
- Cranberries - No Need To Argue
- Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow
I agree with all of that with one exception. 101 is really a greatest hits album, there is no new material on it. But that starts two more lists:
Top ten Movie Soundtracks
Top ten Live Albums
Give those some thoughts.
Oh, now these I like. Gimme a bit and I'll come up with some lists.
I will love the "Jagged Little Pill" album forever. I even love the acoustic version she put out a few years ago.
You have some great taste in music - one this that pleased me most was that you & aj had NO country albums listed! ahaha
Thank you!
Yes, I had to spend some time as a roofer lately, and the music was horrible. All day country music from my bosses radio. Not only was the music bad, but it's fewer songs and they are more repeated than a top-40 station. I could tell you the time of day within 10 minutes from whatever song was on...
Nice list...I have everything except KMFDM and I went to a Depeche Mode concert last summer. Ahhh, it really took me back.
